Find the Care You Need
Why Choose Cleveland Clinic for Mental Health Care?
There’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healthcare, and that includes mental health. Our mental health experts will create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
Skilled collaborative providers:
At Cleveland Clinic, we know it takes many experts to provide comprehensive care. Our mental health specialists work as a team with one common goal — making sure you have the tools you need for success.

Our mental health experts value confidentiality — and we handle each case with the highest degree of sensitivity. We’ll provide you with trustworthy, dignified care so you can put all your focus on getting better.
Cleveland Clinic is known across the U.S. and around the globe for our excellent care and expertise. Our mental health specialists treat a wide range of conditions affecting children, teens and adults — from depression and anxiety to substance use disorders. What also differentiates us from other providers is that we understand how complex medical disease can affect your mental health and ability to cope.
We believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition. That’s why we always try to give the most compassionate care in a no-judgement setting. We’ll be with you every step of the way, for whatever you need.
We know life gets busy. That’s why we offer some appointments as virtual visits. You can meet one-on-one with your providers from home with an internet connection and smartphone, tablet or computer.
Cleveland Clinic is a trusted healthcare leader. We’re recognized in the U.S. and throughout the world for our expertise and care.
Meet Our Mental Health Team
At Cleveland Clinic, our mental health team includes several different experts from a wide range of specialties. We’ll get to know you, so we can learn about your challenges and personal goals. Then, we’ll design a treatment plan personalized for you.
Our treatment team may see you individually, and if you’re comfortable, we can also see you for follow-up appointments in a group format. You’ll hear this called a shared medical appointment or shared psychological appointment.
For people who’d benefit from more concentrated assessment and treatment by prescribers and talk therapists, we also offer intensive outpatient programs (IOPs). These programs can often help people get through the most difficult times.
Depending on your unique needs, you might work with:
- Psychiatrists (doctors with mental health expertise who can prescribe and monitor your medications).
- Advanced practice providers (medical providers, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who can prescribe and monitor your medications).
- Psychologists (experts in modalities of talk therapy).
- Social workers (therapists trained in navigating the connections between your mental, physical, economic and social well-being).
LocationsOur healthcare providers see patients at convenient locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
Getting an appointment with Cleveland Clinic’s mental health experts is easy. We’re here to help you get the care you need.
