Primary
  1. To establish a registry for patients with pancreatic cancer treated definitively with operative and non-operative based treatments.
  2. To examine treatment related tumor outcomes, for instance local control, regional control, distant metastases, overall survival, and cause specific survival for these patients.
  3. To examine normal tissue outcomes, for instance acute and late toxicities, patient reported quality of life for these patients.
Secondary
  1. To understand the impact of patient related characteristics (ie demographics,smoking, performance status) on short and long-term toxicity of pancreatic cancer patients.
  2. To identify tumor related factors (ie cancer stage, CA19-9, grade) and their effects on treatment related outcomes and toxicity.
  3. To understand how treatment related variables (e.g. use of chemotherapy, To understand how treatment related variables (e.g. use of chemotherapy, pancreatic cancer.
  4. To utilize these findings to help develop evidence based risk stratification schemes to tailor clinical decision making and inform clinical trial design.
Inclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  1. This registry will include patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that are treated definitively with surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or combined modalities at the Cleveland Clinic.
  2. This registry will have a prospective and retrospective component:
    • Prospective component: Eligibility for the prospective component will include all patients who are seen in consultation at the Cleveland Clinic, and who have agreed to undergo definitive treatment at this institution. Informed consent will be obtained from these patients (consent form attached).
    • Retrospective component: Eligibility for the second component will include all patients treated definitively at the Cleveland Clinic since 1990. For this cohort, we are requesting a HIPAA waiver of informed consent.
