Industrial Hearing Conservation Program
Euclid Hospital’s Industrial Hearing Conservation Program uniquely offers on-site hearing evaluations to help keep area industries in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, which requires employers to provide hearing tests for all individuals working in high noise level areas, and federal regulations, which requires that these hearing tests be performed on an annual basis.
The Industrial Health Conservation Program serves more than 100 area industries in Northeast Ohio. Our mobile unit provides on-site hearing tests at any time, for any shift and any size staff. Six employees can be tested every 12 minutes.
All testing is conducted by a certified audiometric technician. Results are analyzed by a licensed audiologist who is also available for plant safety meetings and to discuss employee questions on an individual basis. Results are presented in easy-to-read computer generated reports and compared to previous years’ findings to determine change in hearing sensitivity. Employees are provided with documentation summarizing hearing status and recommended follow-up.
