ACIDULATED PHOSPHATE FLUORIDE (uh SID yoo lay ted FOS fate FLOOR ide) prevents tooth decay. It may also be used to reduce gum and tooth sensitivity. It works by making your teeth stronger. Fluoride is a mineral that plays an important role in the health of your teeth and bones.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
This medication is applied to the teeth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Brush with your normal toothpaste and rinse thoroughly. Apply a ribbon of this medication to teeth using a toothbrush or mouth tray for at least one minute. Spit out the gel and do not eat, drink, or rinse for 30 minutes for best results. Children 6 to 16 years of age should rinse their mouth thoroughly with water after use. DO NOT SWALLOW the dental gel. Do not use more often than directed.
Talk to your care team about the use of this medication in children. While this medication may be prescribed for children as young as 6 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

NOTE: This medicine is only for you. Do not share this medicine with others.
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, use only that dose. Do not use double or extra doses.
Interactions are not expected. Do not use any other dental products without asking your care team.

This product may reduce your risk of dental cavities. Continue to follow proper dental hygiene, such as regular brushing and flossing. See your care team for regular check-ups.
If this gel is accidentally swallowed, contact a Poison Control Center immediately. Also, prolonged daily ingestion can cause abnormal tooth enamel. Report any signs of abnormal tooth color or staining or spotting of the teeth right away.

Store at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F). Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
