Treatment patterns show that approximately 50% of cancer patients will receive radiation therapy as part of their care. Surgery also remains a cornerstone of treatment for many cancers, particularly breast, prostate, and colon cancer. Nearly 80% of working-age people diagnosed with these cancers will need surgery at some point in their journey. Our comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence includes bundled episodes of care for medical radiation oncology treatments as well as tumor excision and reconstruction surgery. This ensures patients receive the best care at the best value.

Cleveland Clinic is one of only 41 comprehensive cancer centers in the nation designated by the National Cancer Institute. Our breast center has achieved a three-year full accreditation from the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). It's a national leader in novel targeted therapies and adjuvant therapies for breast cancer. We're also one of the highest volume colorectal cancer surgery and radiation treatment centers in the U.S. We continually meet the highest national quality benchmarks and oncologic outcomes. Eligible lung cancer patients can be treated with single fraction Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SBRT) from nationally recognized specialists. We're also one of the first hospitals in the country to perform Transvesical Single-Port Robotic Prostatectomy, making us an innovative leader in prostate cancer.
