Your doctor wants you to call the Arrhythmia Monitoring Laboratory when you have certain symptoms. Your doctor may also want you to call the Arrhythmia Monitoring Laboratory on a regular schedule. When you first get your transmitter, call in a baseline reading, and then call in a routine reading once a week for three months or as often as your doctor tells you to.

For baseline transmissions and routine rhythm transmissions, please call between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
URGENT transmissions only after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends and holidays.
If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or have someone drive you to your local hospital emergency department right away.
How to use the telephone transmitter
- Put on the wristbands with the flat plate on the inside of your wrists. Place the wristband with the white wire on your right arm, and the wristband with the black wire on your left arm. If needed, pull the wristbands up your arms for a snug fit.
- Moisten the skin under the flat plates of the wristbands with water or rubbing alcohol.
- Call the Arrhythmia Monitoring Laboratory at 444.5062 or 800.603.7169. Please identify yourself by name.
- When instructed, press POWER to turn the unit ON.
- Place the phone in the cradle.
- Hold as still as possible during your transmission.
- After 45 seconds, or when the Alert light flashes and you hear a beeping sound, pick up the phone to talk to the clinician.
- Press POWER to turn the unit and alarm OFF when the session ends.
- Your doctor will get a report on the next business day.
How do I return my transmitter?
- Please return the transmitter promptly at the end of the monitoring period.
- Please return all parts of the transmitter in the packing envelope that came with it.

How do I replace the transmitter battery?
- Turn the transmitter OFF.
- Remove the battery compartment door.
- Remove the old battery.
- Put in a new 9-volt alkaline battery. Make sure the battery matches the diagram on the battery compartment door.
- Replace the battery compartment door.
