In 2022, Cleveland Clinic performed 1694 aortic valve surgeries including open surgical (N=1042) and transcatheter (N=652) approaches.

Isolated Aortic Valve Open Replacement Complications

Many patients who have isolated aortic valve replacement procedures at Cleveland Clinic have complex medical backgrounds that increase the risk of complications. Despite this, the rates of complications were lower than expected in all categories.
