Registration & Fees

Please note: Any fees charged for courses, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the American Heart Association.

Community Members (Non-Employees)

If you would like to attend a course, please follow the below steps:

  • Review schedule.
  • Register/Pay using the Community Member Form.
    • Enter the requested date and one alternative date.
  • A member of the Resuscitation Sim Department will provide confirmation of the course in 2-3 business days.

Courses do fill up quickly and we will work with you to get enrolled if your choices cannot be done.

If we cannot place you in a course, your fee will be quickly reimbursed.

There is a new process for registering in MyLearning, please see below.

  1. Visit MyLearning and login as an employee
  2. From the MyLearning homepage, hover over the Finding Learning tab in the navigation at the top of the page
  3. Click Certifications
  4. Click “<Name Certification>
  5. Look for the course and click on the course you want to enroll in
  6. Click the Enroll in Certification button
  7. Click on the Enroll in Certification button again
  8. Click the Launch Course to start the certification
  9. Then our calendar will appear for that course and you can choose which date/location you want to enroll in by hitting the “SIGN UP” BUTTON

Please begin looking for courses 3 months prior to your expiration date.

We do everything we can to place all Caregivers.

If the month you are expiring is full, please send 3 dates you are available to take a course to CPRMaincampus@ccf.org and we will see where we can place you.

Heartsaver CPR AED

Heartsaver CPR AED

The Heartsaver CPR AED Course provides the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use an AED. The course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Audience

Heartsaver CPR AED is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs CPR AED training and a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency.

Description

The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrests, respiratory emergencies and shock by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.

The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

  • Participants are responsible for obtaining 2020 AHA ACLS Provider manual to review and use during the open resource testing.

  • Test out on Infant Skills and pass the BLS written exam.

The PALS Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

ACLS EP with BLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Experienced Provider)

**Course has moved to MyLearning**

  • Designed for Healthcare Providers who are comfortable with their ACLS Skills and perform frequently
  • ACLS written exam and Skills testing (CPR with AED, Managing a Respiratory Arrest, and a Megacode) are completed at the beginning of the course with little review or remediation
  • After testing, participants engage in discussion about various topics, sharing best practices
  • BLS written exam and infant skills are completed at the end of the course (to earn BLS card)
  • All courses run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each day listed, with lunch provided
  • An eCard is issued for all ACLS EP courses to participants including a BLS card
  • All course participants are expected to wear a mask during our courses

Airway for Procedural Sedation

**Course has moved to MyLearning**

  • This course has been approved by the Cleveland Clinic Procedural Sedation Committee to credential clinicians that wish to have sedation privileges.
  • Designed for Staff, Residents, Fellows, Nursing, RT and other disciplines involved with sedation.
  • This is a multidisciplinary course that is designed to introduce andreinforce principles of effective team dynamics in the treatment of adult
    and/or pediatric patients undergoing procedural sedation.
  • Participants will also reinforce skills within their scope of practice in responseto simulated adult and/or pediatric emergencies arising during procedural sedation.
  • The goal of this course is to recognize early indicators of deep sedationand intervene with a team approach to stabilize the patient.
  • Course is 4 hours in length.
  • All course participants are expected to wear a mask during our courses.
