Description
To further understand the role of clinical and laboratory risk factors in diagnosing and predicting cancer associated thrombosis (CAT), assessing the risk of recurrent VTE among cancer patients, and to delineate outcomes after thrombotic events.
Inclusion Criteria
Patients, over the age of 18 years, with a known or suspected diagnosis of CAT entering clinical care at the CAT clinical service of Taussig Cancer Institute (Main Campus) of the Cleveland Clinic will be considered for consent on this protocol to allow for collection of one or more of the above samples, as appropriate. The protocol information and consent will be presented to the patients at the time of initial visit to the CAT clinical service. All specimens will be collected after written informed consent is obtained from the patient.
