Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 1/1/2024, Dr. Maleki has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. I loved Dr. Maleki! He was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain how everything works in the body to cause my symptoms. I still do not know what is causing my issues but I now understand that my nervous system is being affected which is more then Ive gotten from drs where I live. I appreciate the time he took with me!

Doctor's bedside manner leaves something to be desired. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He gives therapy but won't write it down. I had to ask about alternative options. His order said to follow up with Neurology and I thought he already was Neurology.

He yells and makes condescending comments. He's very humiliating to me both at the visit and when I saw him in office. I cried and couldn't continue with my visit because of his behavior. He's abusive.

Dr. Maleki brushed off answers to our questions until he was ready to answer them, which honestly was a little rude; though I do understand he did not want to forget what he was saying in the moment by answering said questions. He was very knowledgeable for what my condition was and gave me great advice about my future.

Dr Maleki provided extensive details concerning my issues and care
Reviewed on Aug 6, 2024
Dr. Maleki was one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He took time to understand the problem and listen to me, and also time to explain his diagnosis and made sure I understood. Even after that, he showed me some PT exercises I could do and explained ways to reduce stress and tension to help with healing. I'm used to doctor's spending about 5 minutes with me, guessing at something, and sending me home to try some medicine and see if that works. The experience of someone actually trying to figure out the problem kind of floored me.

I have already recommended the Cleveland Clinic to a friend who has dealt with severe hip pain and immobility in his 30s. He has had the same experience as me: going to doctor's and being prescribed pain relievers that do very little.

Dr. Maleki is a terrific doctor. He is so kind, so caring, so compassionate, and he always goes the extra mile to help me in my recovery from serious lower back injuries that I have experienced In the last few years. I honestly believe that he is simply the best doctor I have ever had. He has been essential to my well-being.

Exceptional great appointment service. Only one small problem I was scheduled to see two doctors on one day since I was flying in from Colorado for the appointments. Unfortunately, neither I nor the scheduler notice that the second appointment was scheduled at the Florida clinic. Somewhat beyond driving distance between the two appointments.

And when he's not sure about something, he's humble enough to admit it and willing to investigate further. I feel very comfortable with him. Really enjoyed meeting him as well.

Dr. Malecky was the best physician I have seen in my 10 years as a chronic pain patient. He explained to me the root of pain, how it is transmitted. His communication is clear, and his care felt thorough. Some care providers are dismissive of chronic pain patients, but he listened and seemed truly focused on helping me.

The doctor was fantastic He took his time and my wife, and I both agreed that it was one of the most thorough medical examinations that I can recall. He explained what he was testing for after each test and explained how my responses to those test helped him to better diagnose the problem.

This was my first visit to see a neurologist & I did not know what to expect. Dr. Maleki was very kind & seemed to genuinely care about me. He made me laugh & made the visit actually enjoyable. He explained things so that my husband & I could understand, which you don't always get from a doctor. I am glad Dr. Maleki is my doctor & I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a neurologist.
