I returned from a European vacation with a pulmonary embolism, as diagnosed by the Fairview Park Emergency Department, and after being referred to Dr. Heresi for follow-up, he was kind enough to re-read my CT scans, confirm the previous diagnosis, and refer me to Dr. Gomes of vascular medicine for additional treatment. After completing 4 months of Eliquis and getting further tests, Dr Heresi saw me again, and he spent lots of time with me explaining the findings, assuring me that my situation had greatly improved to his satisfaction, and even ordered a new test to definitively confirm that the embolism was gone and that my lungs were back to normal. My experience with Dr. Heresi and his fellow was an extremely positive one, and I am extremely grateful that I have access to such excellent medical care here at the Cleveland Clinic.
