About Joseph Martin, MD

Joseph Martin, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Clinical and Interventional Sections of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine. He joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2007. His practice is located at the Twinsburg Family Health Center, Twinsburg, Ohio and the Beachwood Family Health Center, Beachwood, Ohio. 

Dr. Martin’s areas of specialization include angina, atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease and ischemia. He provides the following treatments: intracoronary ultrasound, cardiac catheterization, and Coronary Balloon Angioplasty (PTCA). He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and in the sub-specialties of cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

He is a graduate of Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio. He received his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine, Dayton, Ohio, where he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He completed fellowships in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Dr. Martin is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His research articles have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Dr. Martin and his staff are wonderful. The doctor is lovely, thoughtful and smart, smart, smart. It's obvious he knows Cardiology but he is skilled in meeting someone where they are and gently bringing them along to where they need to be. Having heart trouble is worrisome but Dr. Martin makes you feel confident in a healthy future. He's great!

Dr. Martin and his staff are people you like to be around. They know what they are doing and they get it done pleasantly. They are gentle and kind, friendly and considerate. While Dr. Martin was talking to me I thought "here is this brilliant skilled cardiologist physician who literally holds life in his hands daily yet takes the time to speak with me as though I am his longtime friend and only concern." This is a GREAT practitioner!
