Dr. Ashkar was by far the best physician I have seen in a long time. She took time to read my chart, listened to me and involved me in conversation. Really trying to put it together and " hearing " my concerns

Reviewed on Aug 1, 2022

Dr. Al-Ashkar is a phenomenal doctor. Although I have only seen her twice, in my long life she is the first doctor with the courage to suggest an alteration in my diet: a cessation of dairy. I took her suggestion a step farther and went vegan--resulting in a concomitant drop in my cholesterol. By ordering the necessary blood work, she also noted I needed additional vitamin D--a deficiency other medical staff did not detect. She is prompt, kind, warm, and intelligent.
