Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

I saw Dr. Samuel and I was very impressed with him. He listen, gave me his opinion and we set up another appointment to go over findings

I was in great pain. It would have been wonderful if I could have gotten in when the pain was so bad. However I had to wait weeks for availability to be seen. This is a general problem with all Cleveland clinic appointments. Not aimed at dr Samual. Also the Wait time on hold when I call the clinic for anything is way too long.

I was in a deep pain a lot of pain my primary healthcare asked me to make an appointment with a pain management doctor to make an appointment took me a whole month Before seeing a doctor I manage my pain that whole month before doctor meeting the doctor that was a long wait if the wait can be reduced that will be great

Very nice experience. Doctor Samual very nice and concerned for me.

Reviewed on Sep 21, 2021

Dr. Samuel was great; however, the fellow or intern that was with Dr. Samuel was extremely disrespectful. She did not allow me to complete my sentences when explaining my symptoms and medical history. She actually tried completing my sentences for me and her interpretations of what I was trying to say were incorrect. I felt very unheard and invalidated.

Reviewed on Sep 14, 2021

I was seen initially by the fellow, Dr. Christina Shin. She was OUTSTANDING. Very comprehensive questioning of the history of the source of my problem and range of symptoms. Extensive real-time reference to imaging and very clear explanations of the injury mechanism and course of treatment. Very bright but clear spoken.

everything other than the doctor was good.

Dr. Samuels did the appointment. no problems.

Reviewed on Jun 23, 2021

One thing that threw me was one of the first things Dr. Samuels asked me was 'have you found a diagnosis yet?' What?!? I thought that's why I've been working with Cleveland Clinic?? I mentioned that I plan to go to a rheumatologist because 'Fibromyalgia' was mentioned to me, to which Dr. Samuels rolled his eyes. So I'm supposed to find my own diagnosis somehow, but making that attempt leads to eye rolls from my provider??

I like Dr Samuel... I'm confident in him and he was recommended my my previous doctor.

Reviewed on Jun 11, 2021

I feel very confident with Dr Samuel's treatment! He was recommended to me by my previous doctor who spoke very highly of him! She was right!

Reviewed on Jun 9, 2021

This was my first visit with Dr. Samuel. Although the results from my MRI were very serious Dr. Samuel put me at ease by explaining my condition and recommended an appointment with Dr. Unwall. Dr. Samuel was very kind and I appreciated that because I am very concerned about the surgery I am facing.

Reviewed on Jun 8, 2021

Dr Samuel has very little empathy. I have NEVER, in the 30 years of having RSD asked for a little time off work, and he said he wasn't able to do that. I didn't feel like he understood the pain I was in. I am hardly ever at a level 6, he never even addressed my pain level. My nerve had just been shocked by the Medtronic person and he expected me to respond to his testing. I really am unsure about what to do, I feel as though I went back 30 years and have to explain my disease. Maybe he was very busy that day, but I also really needed help.

Reviewed on Jun 8, 2021

the staff overall were fine. I just thought the dr could have been a bit more empathic.

Reviewed on May 19, 2021

Dr. Samuel was very informative, nice and caring. I went to him from a recommendation of my physical therapist because I was not happy with Dr. DeMicco. Dr. DiMicco was quite dismissive and didn't seem to care at all that I was in extreme pain. Dr. Samuel took a lot of time to listen and to review my MRI with me. It was much different than the experience I had with Dr. DiMicco. I look forward to my follow up appointment.
