Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 2/10/2019, Dr. Samuel has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Dr. Samuel is a knowledgeable and compassionate provider. Despite a busy schedule, he takes the time to listen to every patient. He is the embodiment of an excellent physician. Cleveland Clinic is very fortunate to have such a professional, caring provider representing this "world-class" healthcare organization.

Dr. Samuel had another doctor with him that he was training, took longer than normal.

I was in much pain when I made the appointment but it was from a chronic bad back and I knew what I had to do to cope with it. But the availability to see Dr. Samuel was unreasonable. I treated myself, but kept the appointment and was not symptomatic at the time of the actual appointment so I think it was a waste of time

Wanted to see Dr Sam at a different location other than Main Campus, but was unable to get an appointment. Also, the transferring on the phone, over and over is horrible. Calls are at times, not answered BEFORE 15 minutes. Very frustrating.

Dr Samuel took all my past records and told me what was wrong with me. He took his time. If I ever need a bone specialist again, I will return.

Dr Samuel and his team are outstanding. I only wish I could have gotten in to see him at an earlier date since his treatment was very beneficial. I look forward to my next treatment. Only complaint so far is the failure of the Hanger Clinic to call me back to make my orthotic appointment which Dr Samuel prescribed on August 7.

The doctor was outstanding! He was very personable and kind, and seemed to thoroughly review my history swiftly, but with enough attention. I was a little confused about the medications because we reviewed them quickly and then not all of them were on my end of visit printout, but I was able to follow up and get the answers I needed within a couple of days.

Dr Samuel is very smart, humble and easy to talk to

This provider is extremely busy. Appointments need to be made well in advance. "Urgent" or "Emergency" appointments with this particular provider are nearly impossible.
