First doctor to ever speak to my teen versus the parent to ensure that my son completely understood, and all questions were answered. As a parent I prefer doctors to address my teen to learn symptoms and come up with solution together.

Of course in-person visits are nicer, the doctor can see things easier (checking his belly and in his mouth). But video appointment/assessment was good and sufficient for these times.
