Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 11/30/2018, Dr. Thota has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. my wife and I very much appreciated the time Dr Thota took to talk to us during the visit she seemed very interested and concerned for my health care concerns. she was courteous , well spoken and helped us with our concerns. she seemed very educated on the subject matter and interested in learning new things as they come available my wife and are both physicians which I do not believe she knew. it was a worthwhile trip for us for sure. we would recommend her in the future to friends family and patients

Dr. Thota is an excellent doctor and cares about her patients.

this Doctor in my opinion is a doctor that does not provide any information unless you ask the question. even if you ask a question she only gives a yes it no answer. it would be helpful if she broke down exactly what's wrong with me and solutions. I'm most likely going to look for a different doctor even if she has high Credentials.

each and every staff member in your ancillary departments are always cheerful and very helpful, even escorting me to each designation within your main campus. Doctor Thota is always pleasantly professional and extremely informative . she explains my condition and treatment options in terms i can easily understand and listens patiently to my questions and concerns, showing empathy to my personal set of circumstances. i feel confident that im in good hands while entrusting my care to her.

This is the one doctor I am willing to come to main campus to see when I need to. I have seen her for 10+ years, I think and love her. She is very caring, and always is willing to listen.

I came back here after finishing, for one other comment. I have learned, with Dr Thoata, after I make the appointment, through the appointment line, which is a minimum of 3 months out, I message her through My Chart. I tell her what is happening and when they are giving me this appointment. She somehow always comes up with something much closer for me.

Dr. Thota personally called me to give results of a biopsy, as well as follow up medications she is prescribing. It's rare these days to get great customer service from ANY company, however, Cleveland Clinic has always been top notch in customer service.

gave me the impression she just didn't have the time for me. That I WAs a bother to her
