Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

105 Patient Satisfaction Reviews
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions shown below from our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Appt. had to be changed twice by his office because of surgeries which we understood was not the Drs. fault. Appt. with Dr. was a good experience. Like him.

I felt comfortable with Dr. Guttman, and at a follow-up appointment he answered my questions. I hope he will be remaining in Wooster for the future because he is a very good surgeon.

my experience with talking with the office is the wait time. I always was on hold for at least 30 minutes. it would have been helpful if I could have left my number & a brief message and someone would call back. that would save both of us time and aggravation as far as my experience with the doctor I have never had any doctor that I have liked more. he is knowledgeable, compassionate & all the things you would want in a doctor. I have & will continue to recommend him to anyone who is in need of a surgeon.

I have no problem waiting for a doctor who is willing to take the time needed to examine me. I would have a problem with feeling like I'm being rushed through the exam just to keep with a schedule that maybe is not long enough to begin with.

Dr. Gutterman is caring and concerned. He is extremely professional and very appraochable. You have the best at Cleveland and Wooster. And he is truly one of them. He surrounds himself with caring help that get the job done. Always with a smile and the time to listen. I feel extremely well taken care of both physically and emotionally!. Give him a raise! At Least Keep Him! Thanks.

Doctor was very thorough in his explanations.

I had to wait over an hour before even being sent back to a room. If my appointment would have been on time I would have been fine but since it was already an hour over I had to quickly make new arrangements for my younger children. had I been notified when I arrived that the dr was running behind I could have rescheduled or taken care of my children differently. in this way I felt my time was disrespected.
