I waited in the dr's clinic for two hours and a half before the dr finally spoke with me for 5 minutes!!

Dr. Guttman is always extremely professional and always puts me at ease when I talk to him. He always takes as much time as needed to answer all my questions. My experience with him and his staff and everyone involved in my surgery could not have been better. His "bedside manor" is second to none. I feel that he did an excellent job on my hernia surgery, and I am healing up very well. I feel fortunate that I was able to choose him for my procedure. I chose him based on a past experience that was just as impressive. I feel like he really cares about his patients. He actually called me himself the evening before my surgery which really impressed me and really helped me relax. I would like to thank him and his staff for everything they've done for me.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Richard Guttman and his entire staff to anyone who wants to be cared for by true courteous professionals that don't make you fee that you're being l rushed through the system.

Dr. Guttman was not the same surgeon who performed my surgery. He went out of his way to make this difficult situation a good one. I had no idea when I arrived that the pathology report had come back with a cancer diagnosis; he was also unaware of that until just before I arrived. He was very supportive and interested in determining what I needed. He went way above and beyond what I expected. He has an excellent 'bedside manner.'

I absolutely love Dr. Guttman. Not only was he the only one who could get an IV for me in the hospital, but he is funny. That helped me personally deal with the pain and procedure.

Hands down one of the best experiences I have had with a Cleveland Clinic provider. The surgeon was extremely personable, courteous and took time to listen to my situation. He truly deserves some recognition if he has not received it already. He had an excellent bedside manner and was compassionate throughout the visit. We actually did the surgical procedure in office and he put me at ease from the moment he introduced himself on a first-name basis. I want to recommend this care provider to ANYONE in my family or circle of acquaintances who need surgery now or at some point in the future - he was that good! I can't say enough excellent things about this visit. He explained what he was doing throughout the procedure and as a person who wants to know what is going on, I felt very safe and well taken care of. I was very informed throughout the entire process and he eased my anxiety by making sure I understood the procedure and how to care for the wound. This surgeon exceeded my expectations of any provider within the Clinic. Thanks to his work, I am on the mend!!!

I respect Dr. Guttman's knowledge and his approach to giving me his total honesty in regards to my medical conditions. I was so impressed with his ability to seek the best care in regards to my out of the ordinary circumstances from past medical surgeries, and complications. I appreciate his input and the interest he took into my case, not once did I feel like a number, but a person he truly was medically concerned about. I am so lucky to have had, one of the best doctors care I could have received.
