Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

I saw Dr. Rosen for 1 yr check up following surgery a year ago. He was very thorough in explaining the CT scan that I had earlier in the day. Very friendly and also showing concern & interest in my questions. Answering all very carefully.

I really didn't care for having a consult with the student doctor., considering this was my first time meeting this doctor. Had I already had been a patient an the doctor already knew me an my condition. It wouldn't have mattered but for the first visit definitely did make me uncomfortable. Dr Rosen had a wonderful bed side manner. Student needs some work. I think he was as uncomfortable as I was.

Dr.Michael Rosen was excellent. He seems like he's done these kind of surgeries before. I was very scared at first before seeing him because the Dr. I seen before let this go on for 2 years living in constant pain and not even having a life. Not a normal one I should say. But I know once I have surgery I will be back on to recovery of having a normal life once again.

Unfortunately, the doctor had no answers for why I was having problems. I appreciated his frankness, but the visit seemed a bit abrupt without anything to discuss. For me, this was a very unsatisfying experience but I'm not sure he could or should have done anything else. His manner was respectful.

Excellent experience, as always. I did wait an unusually long time to be called back. I eventually approached the receptionist about it. She called back, and it seemed they had skipped over me in error. I was next to be called after that. Most importantly, Dr. Rosen and I were both thrilled with the success of my surgery. I feel like a new person. I feel like Dr. Rosen not only repaired my abdomen, he healed ME!
