Dr. Michael Maier is THE BEST! A real prize for the Cleveland Clinic. Smart as a whip, relatable, always has a good plan. He has kept me with 10 toes and 2 feet for nearly 8 years of significant diabetic foot problems!

Dr. Maier and his entire team (especially Emily and Cathy) are absolutely amazing! My rare disease flares with no warning and I have always been able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. I honestly don't know what I would do without them!

I often refer to Dr. Maier as my "wound care god". My diseas is extremely rare and can be extremely painful. When I develop an ulcer, the road to recovery is usually long and frustrating. Dr. Maier's level of sincerity and empathy have been unmatched by any of my providers on my care team. His knowledge of this disease and willingness to think outside of the box have been an absolute blessing as he figures out how to tackle each and every obstacle that has arisen with each of my flares. He listens to ideas I bring to him based on my research and is continuously considering any possible treatment plan that may benefit me. My disease can be extremely unpredictable and Dr. Maier goes out of his way to accommodate me when I need to be seen urgently (often at the expense of his own sanity)!
