About Abdulla Damluji, MD, PhD, MBA

Abdulla A. Damluji, MD, PhD, MBA is an interventional cardiologist in the Invasive & Interventional Cardiology Section of the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute.

Specialty Interests: Interventional Cardiology, Structural Heart Disease, Cardiovascular Aging, Geriatric Cardiology, Acute Coronary Syndromes, Outcomes Research in Cardiovascular Disease, Complex Coronary Interventions, Cardiogenic Shock, Valve Disease, Frailty and Multimorbidity in Older Adults

Experience and Outcomes: Cleveland Clinic interventional cardiologists perform thousands of procedures a year to treat patients with simple and complex heart and valve disease and structural abnormalities of the heart. The rates of major vascular complications and stroke associated with interventional cardiology procedures at Cleveland Clinic are better than the rates at comparable hospitals, and in-hospital mortality for these procedures is lower than expected.  Learn more about our outcomes and statistics.

About Dr. Damluji: “I enjoy being a cardiovascular clinician because it allows me to help patients facing some of the most challenging heart conditions. My greatest strength is blending advanced interventional skills with a patient-centered, evidence-based approach—especially for older adults with complex multisystem dysregulation. I believe every patient deserves care that is both personalized and compassionate.”

Leisure Activities: In his free time, Dr. Damluji enjoys swimming and was part of the National Swimming Team for the 100m, 200m, and 400m butterfly, as well as the 200m and 400m medley (butterfly). He also enjoys tennis, traveling, and exploring world cuisines with family and friends.
