About Michele Fascelli, MD

Pronouns: He/Him 

Dr. Michele “Mike” Fascelli is a reconstructive urologist and genital gender affirming surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Urology. A board-certified urologist with fellowship training in genital and gender reconstruction.

Dr. Fascelli received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Urologic Surgery in Cleveland, OH. He then went on to complete his fellowship in genital and gender reconstruction at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. 

Dr. Fascelli is the Director of Urogenital Reconstruction and serves alongside Dr. Bahar Bassiri Gharb as Surgical Co-Director of the Gender Affirming Surgery Program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is committed to improve LGBTQIA+ urologic access and expand genital gender affirming surgery offerings for trans community members. 

Dr. Fascelli actively serves as an editor for several urologic and transgender health journals. His academic interests are in LGBTQ+ Health, health disparities, health education and public/population health. Dr. Fascelli is active in LGBTQ+ health program development, trainee education, research, and community service.
