Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 7/30/2019, Dr. Thakore has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. within minutes of seeing the doctor he informed me that I should have never come to him, though I explained I had been scheduled by the appointment person I had not chosen him. He was extremely dismissive of my pain and lack of a life due to inability to move much. he continued to be dismissive throughout the entire appointment. After testing for weakness and sensitivity using a pinprick he explained nothing of what he found. He scheduled me for test and then told me they would probably show nothing and he hopes my insurance pays for it. Was one of the worst doctor experiences of my life

This was the worst doctor I have ever seen. I did look him up online before I saw he and he has terrible reviews. I thought I would still give him a chance and he was rude the moment he walked in. Before I even got a chance to say a word about my symptoms he walked in the room and said I didnt belong there and they dont treat my muscle twitches. he told me he doesnt understand what I was doing there. That set the mood and after that I didnt feel comfortable or confident in this doctor. I didn't feel like he even gave me a chance. I would never ever go back and I feel sorry for anyone that is going to encounter very rude and crappy care that I did. I am still suffering with my issues that just get worse. I'm disgusted that a doctors acts so arrogant and just doesn't care how the person he treats feels.

this doctor needs to educate himself on PCS - it last more than 6 months - I am not simply depressed! this was a waste of time and money

I feel as though I was pushed off and that the provider did not want to be bothered trying to help with my symptoms and/or try to provide any answers other than "talking to someone"

I was amazed by the timely fashion I got an appt at Cleveland. the whole process was wonderful. Dr Thakore spent tome with me and covered everything he knew about a disease that only 60 people in the world have. no research is available at this time. I want to thank everyone that was involved in my experience.
