About David Laczynski, MD

David Laczynski, MD, is a staff surgeon in the regional Department of Vascular Surgery of the Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He sees patients and performs surgery at Hillcrest Hospital.


Specialty Interests: Aneurysmal disease, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, thoracic outlet syndrome


Experience: Dr. Laczynski is experienced in vascular and endovascular procedures to treat a wide variety of vascular diseases. He annually performs more than 350 surgeries.

Education: Dr. Laczynski is a research honors graduate of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Ill. He completed his postgraduate training through a five-year integrated vascular surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic and was named to the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2023 on completion of his training.


Research, Publications and Speaking: Dr. Laczynski has coauthored research papers in leading peer-reviewed vascular surgery journals, as well as chapters in surgical textbooks and handbooks. He has made research presentations at regional vascular society meetings and is a manuscript reviewer for the journal Vascular & Endovascular Surgery.


In addition to his clinical specialties, resident education is one of Dr. Laczynski’s interests, and he serves on the education committee of the Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Society.


About Dr. Laczynski: “I enjoy vascular surgery because it involves caring for almost the entire body for patients across a wide range of ages. Most of the care we provide in vascular surgery is longitudinal, which offers me the privilege of developing long-term relationships with my patients.” 


Leisure Activities: In his leisure time, Dr. Laczynski enjoys spending time with his family, golf, travel, reading and all things Michigan and Detroit sports.
