Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 6/26/2024, Dr. Christianson has reported the financial relationships with the companies listed below. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. I absolutely love how Dr Christianson always has the visual aids to show and it's so helpful. She always makes sure to show/ bring them up and walk and talk through things in detail. It's absolutely amazing.

Every single care provider in the OR was extremely kind and caring. They all were respectful of the emotions I had during my first transfer and it truly made a difference.

The IVF team is wonderful, but sometimes you feel as if you are on a conveyor belt as a patient, going from provider to provider. No one really gets to know you even though you are with them sometimes for years

Very knowledgeable and seems well-practiced in her field. Got to the point and developed an action plan for my complex case. Bedside manner-not overly compassionate towards my infertility woes, but this was a virtual visit which makes It hard to judge.

This was our first visit with Dr. Christianson. She was very nice and took the time to talk to us and make us feel comfortable with the decision we made.

After the issues I had been experiencing while scheduling, I wasn't looking forward to working with this new doctor and was looking into other facilities. But Dr. Christienson was great. I'm very happy to work with her.

At the first visit, we were in and out the hospital within an hour included getting lost finding the director's office, the waiting time, the blood lab test. However, on the bill code, it was coded had a conversation with the doctor for 45 minutes to a hour, which is a LIE. At the second online visit, my doctor did not provide any further/ new information. Moreover, we didn't talk for more than 15 minutes and I was not informed for any next steps or such.

I am so thankful to have Dr. Christianson as my provider. She has been through and great with explanations during my care. I appreciate her attentiveness to the urgency of care as many things in her field are on a timed basis. I have already recommended her others.

The provider recommended I return in 2 to 3 weeks, but did not have any openings for an appointment until after that window. This has delayed my care/ treatment.

Dr Mindy Christianson was absolutely amazing! We recently had a very bad experience with another infertility group which left us pretty discouraged and going through the struggles of infertility alone is hard. She explained so much but in a way I understood. She took the time to pull up powerpoints and pictures and really listen to my questions and concerns. I am so beyond happy we found Dr Christianson
