Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 3/23/2024, Dr. Knight has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Click here to view a listing of instances where Cleveland Clinic has identified a Public Health Service (PHS)-Reportable Financial Conflict of Interest and has put measures in place to ensure that, to the extent possible, the design, conduct and reporting of the research is free from bias.

I always get a handprinted paper for my next appointment and I can sign in online. I love Dr. Knight.

Dr Knight is very thorough and takes as much time with me to answer questions as needed. She's great.

Dr. Knight is absolutely amazing! Not only did she make me feel safe & validated but she included me in everything she did & said. I've never "learned" so much at a doctor appointment! She took her time & genuinely cared about my situation. She is a phenomenal doctor & human being!

Dr. Knight is a very attentive and carind doctor. She has been a great help to me in only two visits. Her personality makes me feel good as soon as she enters the exam room and puts me at ease.

My appointment went well. Dr. Knight and her knowledgeable assistant were very good, helpful during the procedures.

The office is very busy. Dr. Knight is a great doctor and takes her time with everyone. This was the same situation with Dr. Bologna as far as waiting 3 months to get an appointment. I had surgery last year with Dr. Bologna and it took me 3 months to get in for follow up from surgery. Three months is a long time to wait.... Especially since I have been a patient with the office for over 25 years. But I do it.

Neither the md or the 2 nurses could get the catheter placed, and this is a huge part of the skills needed for a urologist. I was very sore, passed a fair amt of blood the first appt, even though that was only done to get a urine sample, and didnt do the actual procedure until the 2nd appt.

Reviewed on Dec 19, 2023

On my first visit she reassured me that she could help with my issues. On this second visit, she did not give me a good feeling about resolving the issues. My next visit is in 6 months but not with her. She said she might see me in a year. I felt she has given up on resolving my problems.

Dr Knight is very professional and thorough. She seems very knowledgeable

I had to wait six weeks to get into see Dr. Knight but the wait was worth it!
