Navneet Sharma, MD, is an interventional cardiologist and Vascular Interventionist in the Section of Regional Cardiovascular Medicine of The Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He sees patients at the Richard E. Jacobs Family Health Center and Cleveland Clinic Avon and Fairview hospitals.

Education: Dr. Sharma earned his doctorate of medicine from Louisiana State University, New Orleans. He completed his internal medicine residency at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Hospital, Health Sciences University, New York, where he was chosen to serve as chief resident in his senior year. Dr. Sharma continued with SUNY for a cardiovascular disease residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, N.Y.
After his residency at Stony Brook, Dr. Sharma accepted a fellowship in interventional cardiology and structural interventions at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University, New York. He remained at New York Presbyterian for a fellowship in endovascular intervention and vascular medicine through Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, New York. Dr. Sharma joined the Cleveland Clinic staff in 2022 from New York Presbyterian Hospital where he was an attending physician.
Research, Publications and Speaking: Dr. Sharma has been active in interventional cardiology and endovascular clinical research for more than 10 years and currently is a sub-investigator on trials related to endovascular treatment for heart attack and aortic valve disease.
Dr. Sharma has coauthored more than a dozen research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and three medical textbook chapters. He has made numerous presentations at national medical meetings, including research abstracts and posters.

I am beyond impressed with Dr. Sharma. He took a great deal of time with me, showed me my Echo tests on the computer screen, explaining the improvements my heart had made since my time in Cardiac ICU. He cared enough to explain the need for and potenail duration of, medicine I will require. I left his office feeling as if he truly cared about me and my well being. I greatly appreciate and admire the time he took explaining each step/test and my prognosis. I've proudly shared his name and number with friends for referrals.

Every facet of my visit with Dr. Sharma was positive, genuine, detailed and professional. His positive personality, kindness, smile, his charisma should be duplicated by all doctors. He is so authentically engaged with all staff and certainly patients. He has you at hello and at the end of the visit actually walks you to the checkout, scheduling area. I look forward to next visit. He cares!
