Dr. Satariano was born and raised in Northeast Ohio where he attended Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland. He graduated Suma Cum Laude from The Ohio State University and then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine where he was awarded his Medical Doctorate with Honors and Distinction in Research. He completed five years of Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco and then went to the University of Cincinnati to complete The Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery Fellowship for specialized training in Hand Surgery.
Dr. Satariano treats common problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, thumb arthritis, ganglion cysts, and De Quervain's. He takes care of all types of hand injuries including wrist and finger fractures as well as tendon and nerve lacerations. He has particular interest in Dupuytren’s disease where he offers in office procedures and surgical management in the operating room. His expertise ranges from evaluating small lumps and bumps to undertaking major hand reconstructions.
Dr. Satariano sees patients at the Akron General Physician Office Building in downtown Akron and the Akron General Health and Wellness facility in Bath. New patients are welcome.
