Dr chichiura is very nice but both times I've seen her it's been very rushed and she seems busy. I had SLIS cells and the apt was for a follow upi don't even have test results for the purpose of the follow up which was to see if I still had abnormal cells. So looks like I showed up to this appointment for no reason

Dr. Chichura is very smart, and compassionate. I would highly recommend her to other patients. I personally have greater concern though at this second for my recovery process, however, her profesional abilities of office and surgery are excellent.

I could not have asked for a better surgeon to meet my needs and consider the knowns and unknowns about possible disease as well as my emotional responses to information she shared. I'm extremely impressed with Dr. Chicura's approach and expertise.

Reviewed on Jan 17, 2024

Dr Chichura was very engaged and very thorough and answered all of my questions very thoughtfully. She is also clearly very knowledgable about breast cancer which is helpful for me. So I am grateful to have her on my team.

Reviewed on Jan 17, 2024

Dr Chichura was recommended to me by my oncologist Dr Roesch and so I like that they know each other and can discuss any overlapping issues with each other.

Reviewed on Dec 4, 2023

Dr. Chichura is the most compassionate physician I have ever met. I had full confidence in her. She answered every question, explained everything she was doing and why. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chichura to anyone needing breast surgery. She is a gem!

Reviewed on Dec 4, 2023

Where to even start, Dr. Chichura is probably my favorite doctor I have ever met. She clearly cared about me as a person, she expressed understanding about my cancer far beyond her scope as a surgical oncologist, she ended up answering multiple medical oncology questions that I had. She thoroughly explained everything about the surgical assessment and planning. Regarding decisions about care, she asked me so many questions, and when I told her I want a double mastectomy, she said of course. This is in contrast to the surgical oncologist I saw at Ohio State who discouraged me and made me feel like he wouldn't give me a double mastectomy, or at least that I was going to have to argue with him at some point if I had it done there. Dr. Chichura explained all the risks and benefits of different options. She went way beyond that though, she told me to message her any questions about my cancer, including about medical oncology and she would help me get the answers I need. I would recommend her to anyone, anywhere who needs breast surgery, and I plan to travel to the Cleveland Clinic (7 hours roundtrip) so that she can do my surgery.

Reviewed on Dec 4, 2023

Omg I came in for 2 appointments, I drove 7 hours roundtrip and they knew it, and I think I had 6 or 7 appointments - I know this must have been a massive undertaking to coordinate the schedules of so many physicians, and not only that, but sometimes more than one of them was there at one time, and they were always friendly and collegial with one another and there was never any friction of any kind. Everyone was focused on making sure I got the appointments I needed and they worked together seamlessly

Reviewed on Nov 30, 2023

The doctor came to the appointment directly from surgery which I know is quite a trek. She examined me and gave me a hug goodbye. She I a mi very caring person.

This doctor is a joy to me. She has always made me comfortable and secure in her treatment choices by giving results of her consultation with other doctors, board, past experiences and her personal research. She was very kind, and sensitive to how I felt about losing my breast. She consoled me and explained the surgery by drawing it out and verbally explaining everything that would happen to me. I had complete confidence that she would do her best.

Dr. Chichura is the best surgeon around! She was the second surgical oncologist I've met with since being diagnosed with breast cancer (I had another surgeon at another hospital previously). From the moment that I met her, I knew that she was a notch above. She listened to my problems and anxieties about my diagnosis and treatment thus far. Dr. Chichura is very knowledgeable, kind, and respectful of my decisions and feelings. She is the type of physician that everyone wants to have. She is brilliant but also relatable and a great listener. Dr. Chichura made me feel like I was important to her and she explained every treatment option and every aspect of my illness in great detail. I would highly recommend Dr. Chichura to anyone!
