Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 1/2/2024, Dr. Naseer has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Like I said, I never even got to talk to the doctor. It was the worst experience of my life. I sat for an hour and a half crying and crying and crying. I just can't believe that this is how you treat people.

She is a wonderful provider . Has seen me at my worst and still treated me with kindness respect and professionalism. She has taken time to schedule tests and point me to other providers. I have gotten much better since I started seeing her . 10 out of 10

I have not needed a return call from Dr. Naseer since I was there on April 1, 2024. Regarding appointments, one hopes you don't need to reschedule. It is a significant amount of time you wait for another appointment. This has been my experience.

Doctor Naseer listed off my symptoms in the most dehumanizing way. She did not listen to my concerns or diagnosis, and trivialized my symptoms. She did not show sympathy for the pain or suffering I am experiencing. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease over a year ago and have been disabled since. She implied that I do not have Crohn's disease and that I am much better off than people who do have Crohn's disease. I am 22 years old and need to use a shower stool, cannot eat food, and am not able to work or go to school. She said the inflammation in my colon, the blood in my stool, and my other severe symptoms could be merely IBS or anxiety. I went to the Cleveland Clinic because I wanted a doctor to sympathize with me and present me with a more comprehensive range of options than any average G.I. Doctor. What I experienced was extremely disappointing from any doctor, let alone for this clinic with a fantastic reputation.

While it took a while to get an appointment with Dr. Naseer, I had an understanding of her situation as a specialist and that her schedule is very limited.

I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with Dr. Naseer's time spent with me, her care & concern was obvious. She included me in her plan development for how to address my issues, which was kind, considerate & very compassionate. I have rarely had such an amazing experience with a new doctor, let alone a specialist with such a full caseload.
