Biography

About Hamlet Gasoyan, PhD

Dr. Hamlet Gasoyan is a Staff Investigator at the Center for Value-Based Care Research in the Department of Internal Medicine of Cleveland Clinic’s Primary Care Institute and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. His research focuses on value-based care, health disparities, and health outcomes with applications to obesity, cancer, and related chronic diseases. The goal of his research is to help develop evidence-based recommendations for patient-centered care, improve population health outcomes, and control health care costs. Dr. Gasoyan’s studies have been widely covered by the media including Reuters, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and other national and local news organizations, indicating their importance to the public and health care policymakers. His research has been funded by the National Cancer Institute.

Dr. Gasoyan received a PhD degree in health policy and health services research from Temple University, an MPH degree with a concentration in health care organizations and management from the University of South Florida, and a Doctor of Stomatology (dental/oral medicine) degree from Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia. He also completed postdoctoral training in health services research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
