Biography

About Halle Moore, MD

Halle Moore, MD, is Director of Breast Medical Oncology in the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute. She is Co-Director of the Cleveland Clinic Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program. She is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and is board-certified in medical oncology. She received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University, completed her internal medicine residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Moore’s clinical expertise is in the medical management of breast cancer. Her research focuses on breast cancer treatment and issues related to cancer survivorship. She was lead investigator and author of the practice changing New England Journal of Medicine publication of the POEMS study demonstrating a method for protecting ovarian function during chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer in young women. Dr. Moore is national co-chair for the SWOG Cancer Research Network's Survivorship Committee and serves on the Survivorship Panel for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Clinical Practice Guidelines.

    Dr. Moore is absolutely wonderful. She has managed my care for 11 plus years. She is genuinely interested in my well-being and I trust her explicitly! I also want to say, that it was wonderful to see my physician in person and in the office. With COVID, I have had one too many virtual visits since my PCP retired. She was the first care giver to actually touch and exam me since June! She listened to my lungs as well as her other exam. As a patient who had an asthma exacerbation for 8 weeks, I only saw people virtually. I could never get anyone to listen to my lungs. I finally, I had a friend who is a respiratory therapist listen to them. Virtual appointments can be great for follow-ups but not for acute problems when the problem requires a hands on approach.With that said. Dr. Moore is the absolute best and her patient care and interaction are rated a 10 plus in my book!
