About Teresa Wu, MD

Teresa Wu, MD, is a staff physician in the Section of Vascular Medicine of the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. She sees patients at Main Campus.

Specialty Interests: General vascular medicine, peripheral artery disease, chronic venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, fibromuscular dysplasia

Experience: Dr. Wu is experienced in caring for patients with the full range of vascular conditions and diseases, from common diseases such as peripheral artery disease to rare vascular conditions such as fibromuscular dysplasia. She is board certified in internal medicine and vascular medicine.

Education: Dr. Wu earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, New York City. She served her internship and residency in internal medicine at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital and remained there for a fellowship in vascular medicine.

After completing her fellowship, Dr. Wu joined the teaching staff of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. She held this position for two years before her 2022 appointment to the Cleveland Clinic medical staff.

About Dr. Wu: “I enjoy practicing vascular medicine because it allows me to care for patients with a wide range of conditions. It is also a constantly evolving field, and I feel grateful to be at the forefront of that at the Cleveland Clinic.”

Leisure Activities: Outside of work, Dr. Wu enjoys a wide range of interests, including hiking, yoga, rock climbing and travel.

Dr. Wu in every way mentioned above was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgeable about the leg pains I was experiencing and seemed very concerned about my health, She explained medical options for me in a way that was easy to understand and helped me decide which choice was best for me. She was very personable and caring. I am very fortunate that I was scheduled to see her. I would highly recommend her to others.

Dr. Wu is one of the most amazing doctors I've ever met! Dr. Wu was able to diagnose me with a very rare neurovascular disease within five minutes of the office visit. Her compassion, concern, knowledge, and expertise make her a gem at the Cleveland Clinic. I am forever grateful to have Dr. Wu as my vascular doctor.

I had a wonderful experience all the way around, from making the appointment, the kindliness and polite and respectful demeanor in which he treated me was stellar all the way to my visit with the RN and Doctor Wu,they were fantastic! To the gentlemen who booked me for my future appointments and lab work were funny, polite,anf got me in at my priority time and location. Cleveland Clinic score a perfect 10!!!

Dr Wu was very clear in her discussing the results and care. She didn't dumb down, nor did she talk over our understanding. She spent time with me and was very easy to listen to as she spoke. Dr Wu has my respect and faith in her knowledge and ability .
