Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Dr. Peugh throughly examined my symptoms and took into consideration what the root of the problems may be. She ordered bloodwork and x-rays that no other rheumatologist had done for me before. In doing so, she discovered deficiencies I never knew I had. I am grateful for her care. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr Peugh was excellent. She does use her medical "lingo" but quickly defines/explains what that word/phrase means. That was very helpful. She was engaged and looked at me not her computer when asking questions. It was an extraordinary helpful first visit.

Reviewed on Sep 26, 2024

I have gone to my primary care doctor for over a year explaining that something was wrong with my body. After a year passed and I felt like no one listened, I found a new doctor who finally listened and sent me to the specialist to get the help I needed. I finally became a cleveland clinic rheumatology patient and have never felt more heard or taken seriously. Over a year feeling ill with no explanation, answers, hopes of feeling better any time soon, or ability to keep a job feeling the way I have. I now have a VERY high sense of hope to get the answers I've been praying for. My doctor took the time to listen to EVERYTHING. And actually asked questions to get a better understanding. Really made me feel like this is what I have been needing. Can we give her a raise? Lol
