About Sobia Farooq, MD

Dr. Sobia Farooq, MD, MBA, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Lerner College of Medicine and a Board-Certified Specialist in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. At the Cleveland Clinic, she leads the Asthma Center, advancing patient care and treatment methodologies.

Dr. Farooq has made significant contributions throughout her career. At Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, she directed the Sleep Medicine Program and oversaw the Pulmonary Function Lab, implementing innovative practices that improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency. In 2017, she earned an MBA in Healthcare from George Washington University, enhancing her administrative skills and leadership capabilities.

Her tenure at Kaiser Permanente in McLean, Virginia, where she served for four years, was marked by excellence. She was recognized as a Super Doctors Rising Star by the Washington Post in April 2011 and named one of the Top Doctors for Northern Virginia for three consecutive years (2011-2013), reflecting her consistent dedication to clinical excellence.

She sent me to the Nigel clinic to see a nurse practitioner and what the nurse practitioner told me does not agree with Cleveland clinics website says about nodules I would like to see a doctor or a specialist in the Nodule clinic
