About Wai Sung, MD

Wai Sung, MD, is a Staff Member in the Departments of Pediatric Anesthesiology and General Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. Dr. Sung’s specialty area is pediatric anesthesia.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Sung earned his medical degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong, China. He completed an internship and residency at Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, Hong Kong. He also completed an internship at Carney Hospital in Boston, Mass., as well as a residency in anesthesiology at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Mass. Dr. Sung was a Clinical Fellow in Anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School, also in Boston, Mass.

Dr. Sung is a member of several medical societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiology, the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesia, and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia.

He has lectured and published on various topics in pediatric anesthesia.
