Sean Steenberge, MD, MS, is a staff surgeon in the Department of Vascular Surgery of the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute.
Specialty Interests: Aortoiliac occlusive disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, popliteal artery entrapment, thoracic outlet syndrome, venous disease, dialysis access
Experience: Dr. Steenberge has experience in treating all types of vascular conditions and diseases with endovascular and open surgical techniques. He has participated in more than 1,500 vascular procedures.

Education: Dr. Steenberge is a graduate of Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University where he also earned a master’s degree in clinical research. He received his specialty training through a five-year integrated residency in vascular surgery at Cleveland Clinic. During his residency he served as quality officer and ombudsman as well as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic's Lerner College of Medicine.
Dr. Steenberge joined the Cleveland Clinic staff in 2021 following completion of his residency.
Research, Publications and Speaking: Dr. Steenberge has coauthored papers published in peer-reviewed medical journals on vascular surgery techniques and outcomes and has coauthored a chapter in a vascular surgery textbook. He has presented at numerous local, regional and national vascular surgery meetings, including the Society for Vascular Surgery Annual Meeting and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery Annual Symposium.

Dr. Steenberge was such a great find. I had seen another vascular surgeon, but his schedule changed and he was not available when I needed an appointment, so I booked with Dr. Steenberge. I am so glad I did, he is very thorough, explains everything in terms I actually understand and is always willing to listen to any concerns I may have about my care.
