Industry Relationships

Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 6/22/2023, Dr. Khanna has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Next testing and online appt to go over test results seem too far in the future. I've already waited two months for the initial visit and I don't talk to the doctor again for a month. Given that the potential diagnosis is cancer, I'm really anxious.

Dr. Khanna has been a great doctor to see. He listens to all concerns and addresses them as he does his exam. He will sit and discuss next steps and a plan so there is no unknown left. It feels as if you are having a conversation not an appointment which is comforting.

By the time I finally saw the doctor after the challenges in the appointment process, my urgent condition was cleared. The doctor confirmed this by his examination. As a result, there was no treatment to discuss.

Dr. Khanna is now my favorite! From the beginning consultation, he showed genuine caring and kindness to me as a person and patient. Before our visit, he took the time to read my portal history on my condition and what I had experienced thus far. He listened attentively, asked questions, allowed me to answer in detail, and discussed our options for treatment. He's the ONLY doctor (out of 17 I've seen) who offered options for treatment, and his solution was 100% effective. Dr. Khanna is literally THE BEST!

Both Dr. Khanna and Dr. Mangie were excellent with providing care to me.

Reviewed on Jul 31, 2023

Dr. Khanna and his staff were wonderful! I can't remember the last time a physician really listened to my issues (after 3 years of undiagnosed symptoms). He spent ample time getting to know me and the history of this very rare disease in my TMJ. Dr. Khanna offered some possible solutions or treatments that we will pursue at The Cleveland Clinic. I feel that I am FINALLY in the right place and under the best care.
