Jay Ramchand, MBBS, PhD, FRACP, FACC, is a staff cardiologist in the Section of Cardiovascular Imaging of the Tomsich Family Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute. He is based at main campus.
Specialty Interests: Inherited cardiac diseases, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, diseases of the aorta, infiltrative cardiac disorders, ischemic heart disease, pericardial diseases, advanced cardiovascular imaging.
Experience: Cleveland Clinic's Section of Cardiac Imaging is one of the largest and most experienced in the country. Section staff reads and interprets nearly 50,000 images every year.
Dr. Ramchand is experienced in all aspects of cardiovascular imaging, including
Doppler and 3-D echocardiography; stress echocardiography; cardiac MRI; cardiac CT and coronary computed tomography angiography (CT angiography).
He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Education: Dr. Ramchand earned his medical degree from Melbourne Medical School, University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Austin Health, Victoria, followed by a fellowship in cardiology at Austin Health and Melbourne Health, Victoria. He continued his specialty training as a cardiac imaging fellow at Austin Health.
Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic staff in 2021, Dr. Ramchand was a staff cardiologist and internal medicine physician with Austin Health.
Research, Publications and Speaking: In addition to reading and interpreting cardiac images for diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Ramchand is a dedicated researcher. He has published nearly 50 basic and clinical research papers in leading medical journals since 2008, primarily related to his specialty, and has made scientific presentations at major cardiology meetings in Australia, Europe and the United States.

I liked Dr Ramchand very much. This was the first time I saw him. It was obvious he read my chart. He understood my particular surgery. He listened to me. I would definitely ask to see him again.
