As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

Reviewed on Sep 5, 2024

Dr Rasmussen was the most caring, engaged and kindest doctor. He explained everything thoroughly, answered my questions, and made me feel like no question was a dumb question. He came across as caring about me as a person and very sincere. Dr. Rasmussen spent my full 40 minutes with me and did not rush me. I appreciated that he took the time to listen to me (and my husband) and to explain things so thoroughly.

I was a little leary of a virtual visit vs an in person visit but Dr. Rasmussen definitely made this a great and informative appointment.

It was very difficult to get an initial appointment which was a referral from MetroHealth neural surgeon Dr.Alfred Bowels. 2 appointments were made initially, then I received a call the day before and the treatment appointment was cancelled and I was asked to change the appointment time with Dr. Rasmussen, which I was not able to do with such short notice From that point, I received NO callback as promised and I had to call triage several times to get an appointment with Dr. Rasmussen. Once I was able to get the appointment,Dr. Rasmussen was very receptive and made sure all other appointments were scheduled.

There was some mix up with appointment time. I was told 10:00 am but everything I received by text or email was 9:00 am and I missed my appointment however it was re-scheduled for the same day. I was told 2:00 for the new time and again I got text and email stating the time was 1:00. I did finally get to see and talk to Dr. Rasmussen at 2:00 pm.
