Education: Dr. Iyer earned his medical degree from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, India. He served his internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center, New York, and remained there for a critical care fellowship. He completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago, followed by a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at University Hospitals, Cleveland.
Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic medical staff in 2020, Dr. Iyer was a staff cardiologist with University Hospitals.
About Dr. Iyer: "I believe in treating patients with kindness. Patients often are scared when they learn they have an electrical problem of their heart. Also, many patients find it difficult to grasp what is different about their heart rhythm. I believe in helping patients understand their condition and in giving them hope. This enables us to jointly create an action plan that provides quality care focused on the best possible outcomes with the lowest possible risk. I love what I do daily, and this makes my work rewarding.”
Leisure Activities: Outside of work Dr. Iyer enjoys walking in the Metroparks, rollerblading, reading and playing board games with his family.

I've always had great care at Cleveland clinic, but during my last office visit I was upset about discussing options for me based on old information. I love all the doctors who have and are still caring for me. I have mixed feelings on the last one I saw
