The worst experience I've had with a medical professional - ever. I was very pleased that I saw my primary the next day and could get as far away from going back to her as possible. I won't continue by saying disparaging things but I would never recommend her to anyone.

Megan was so helpful with all of my question's she gave me very helpful advice regarding my health. She made sure I was comfortable during my exam. Thank you.

She was very blunt and didn't seem to have the best bedside manner. After I spoke about my issue in a very knowledgeable way was when she seemed to come down from her "power trip" and realized I knew what I was taking about and then took me seriously. She seems to make it sounds like it was my fault that my MRI and X-ray images/scans hadn't been received yet (even though the had them sent electronically 48 hours prior).

At the beginning of our time together, Megan did not seem to take my condition seriously because the "images" had not been sent. But after discussing everything she started seeing me as someone who was credible and examined me. At that point she saw how serious my sacral cyst really was. That was a real relief.

Megan Skinner, PN, was outstanding. She did one of the best evaluations I have had in a long time. Such a good listener, never assume and the time to made sure she understand what I saying. Also, Megan made sure I understood the next steps for me, how we will go about them. I left my appointment feeling cared for, hope-full and thank-full. Megan Skinner does nursing beautifully and professionally.

Provider was very short, rude and very reluctant to answer my questions
Reviewed on Feb 12, 2024
By far the worst experience I have had with a provider. From the beginning of the appointment, Megan Skinner had truly awful bed-side manner. She seemed had a defensive attitude, did not listen (or seem to care) when I attempted to describe my issues (would interrupt me / cut me off), and just seemed overall frustrated whenever I asked a question or inquired about different paths of treatment. It was clear she wanted me out of her office as soon as possible and wasn't interested in trying find out what is actually wrong with my back and why I'm having the issues that I've had for several years now. "Some people just have back pain" was her response when I inquired about what could possibly be wrong. All signs point to a disc issue with my back (i.e. Pain when sneezing/coughing), and only an MRI would be able to show the extent of what the issues really are. When asking if I could get an MRI she was very dismissive (shook her head in frustration) and said her recommendation for PT would be the same regardless of what an MRI results would show. She said the only other solution would be an injection or surgery; when I asked her why surgery is typically performed (what are they looking to solve), she said "I don't know, I don't work in surgery." She ended up writing me a script for an MRI after I kept asking about it, but said "it will just get denied by insurance anyway." After my poor experience, I searched other reviews of Megan Skinner to see if I was an outlier. I found that others had similar experiences to me. I'm disappointed that the Cleveland Clinic has not done more to help solve for what is clearly a pattern of poor care and has been highlighted by other repeatedly over the years.
