The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions shown below from our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.

Provider ordered MRI but I realized after I got home I really had no clue as to what my problem might be. I do understand that MRI is needed to identify problem but I'm left wondering what what the possibilities are or if they could be serious. But to be fair I'm really bad about asking questions.

Dr. McDowell and the supporting staff were extremely personable and professional during my recent appointment! Very professional!

Felt that the doctor was dismissive of my back pain and had no desire to talk about it beyond his initial impressions, including the MRI.

I was listened to and examined. Dr Mcdowell was compassionate. Though a strange phenomenon seems to happen each time I see Dr Mcdowell. My pain lessens. Just for the visit, must be something In the air. Wish I could take It home with me

Care provider seemed knowledgeable but made no impression to make me want to recommend him to others. Rated him #3 more as neutral, not fair which seems more negative.

I would never use this provider again. He did not even look at my back or listen to my concerns and just looked at an old X-ray from the VA to tell me the issue should not be causing me the pain I have now. I feel like I totally wasted my time and that he did not even want to listen to what I had to say.

The PA never examined me. He wanted updated films before doing anything. He did feel the lump on my back through my clothes and gave his opinion. He seemed distracted or had a bad day

First, he barged in the room without knocking. His first words were "how long did it take you to get here?" I told him 4 hours. His reply was "you drove all the way up here for this?" He eventually asked me where it hurt worse and describe my pain. I told him my lower back, across to my hips, down my sciatic nerve, down around my groin area and down my legs. He looked at me in disbelief and said "really?" I brought my MRI scan with me, which the report shows I have nerve involvement with my 3 bulging discs. He told me at the end I have no spine involvement, no nerve involvement, and there is no reason for my pain. I have chronic back pain and I sometimes go to bed and cry it hurts so bad. I wasn't asking for pain meds or anything. I just want answers to my pain. And he has the nerve to tell a chronic pain sufferer that there is no reason for my pain. He had an attitude that he didn't want to see me, treat me, and that I was a waste of his time. I will not ever go to the spine clinic again. I left very depressed and like I didn't matter. He did nothing to help me get answers, or give me suggestions of where to go to get answers.

All doctors are booked 2 months out. It is hard for working people to make appointments because everyone can't leave their job in the morning or middle of the day for an appt. Saturdays should be an appointment option.

An X-ray was ordered by the doctor. I read the reading of the X-ray on MyChart the next day. I went back afterward to read the doctors assessment. He repeated a few words stated by the technician reading the X-ray with no additional information and no time was taken to translate the findings into layman's terms.
