Biography

About Payal Soni, MD

Payal Soni MD is a Staff Physician in the Department of Neurology, Center for Neurologic Restoration, Headache and Facial Pain Section at Cleveland Clinic. She is the Medical Director of the Trigeminal Neuralgia service line. She is board certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine.

She received her BS in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine in Tampa, FL. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Soni specializes in caring for patients with headache and facial pain disorders. She also performs procedures including onabotulinum toxin injections and nerve blocks to treat certain pain conditions. Dr. Soni is passionate about improving the quality of life of patients suffering with chronic pain conditions through medication management and lifestyle modification. Her clinical interests include trigeminal neuralgia and other cranial neuralgias, migraine, and concussion.

She is member of the American Headache Society and the American Academy of Neurology. She also serves as Associate Program Director for the Neurology Residency Program at Cleveland Clinic.

She seemed annoyed and said "we'll" see when I said multiple other providers suggested I get more diagnostic testing/imaging. I repeatedly mentioned my ongoing back concerns as well and was largely ignored. After examination she ordered imaging only for my head; no discussion/referrals about my back issues.
