Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 2/22/2023, Dr. Nguyen-Huynh has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Doctor is very professional and pleasant. I was very comfortable talking to the Doctor, considering I have 100% hearing loss and read lips. The Doctor is currently working to determine how he can help me hear with hearing devices. I look forward to my next appointment. Path to better hearing.

It took 2.5 years to finally get a diagnosis and this Dr was the first one to talk to me with compassion and explanation things in detail. He took his time to make sure I understood and was confident in our plan. Most Drs rush through but he was so focused. Highly recommended

We made the appointment at ~3:30 PM and I didn't get to see the doctor until about 5:30 PM so I waited two hours in the waiting room and in the doctors room. Not good. The doctor appears to be an expert because with very brief review of the scans he was able to quickly diagnose what appears to be a fairly complex and difficult to diagnose condition. This shows that he has a great deal of expertise and competence.

Dr Nguyen-Huynh was very personable and knowledgeable. I came to Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion. It was obvious from my visit, exam, and conversation with him that I was receiving a higher level of skilled care than I had from other providers. In one visit, he earned my trust and respect as a provider. He was also very kind and took the time I needed to answer all of my questions

Didn't get much time with the actual. Doctor. He was late and seemed in a hurry. Didn't seemed to grasp my possible concern of the problem. They all seem to feel there is no issue with my implant and don't want to even consider that there might be a LOOSE connection in the implant itself. I feel it was damage in the attack I received.

Dr. Nguyen Huynh is absolutely wonderful. He is very skilled in his specialty and does an excellent job of describing medical conditions, test results and treatment options. He takes his time and does not make you feel rushed during an appointment. I truly felt that he listened to my concerns. When I left, the plan was clear and I feel comfortable reaching out with concerns. I am very appreciative of his care.
