Henry Ng, MD, MPH is an physician, educator and advocate for LGBTQ health.
He completed his BS and his MD at Michigan State University. He completed his residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at MetroHealth Medical Center. In 2012, he completed a Master’s in Public Health degree at Case Western Reserve University with an emphasis on Health Promotion/Disease Prevention for LGBT populations. He attained the rank of Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He has served as the Assistant Dean for Admissions at the School of Medicine working on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Dr. Ng’s clinical and academic work focused on delivering culturally and clinically competent care to medically vulnerable populations. Dr. Ng has been involved in LGBTQ health care since 2007 and currently he is a physician in the Center for LGBTQ+ Health and the Transgender Surgery and Medicine Program at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Ng's academic interests are in LGBT Health, health disparities, and public/population health. He served as an associate editor for the journal, LGBT Health and is a snior associate editor for the journal, Annals of LGBTQ Public and Population Health.
Dr. Ng was a board member and past president of GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBT Equality and was involved in medical education and mentorship. He has also served on the National Advisory Council for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Dr Ng was delightful. He maintained a warm and charming demeanor throughout which was very reassuring, provided me insights into my own medical history, ensured anything he prescribed was sensitive to my impending COVID19 lay off and covered by my insurance at the time.
