Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 2/1/2022, Dr. Lumpkin has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. I feel Dr Lumpkin could give more details pertaining to disease. If we asked the questions he was very detailed. But If we didn't ask he didn't go Into too much detail. Not knowing a lot about my condition the first time I was there he didn't describe how this disease effects a person or explain in detail of how the granulomas look and what they do to the body etc Otherwise he's an excellent dr.

Dr. Lumpkin is very respectful and listens to all my concerns. He listens to me when no other doctors are willing to listen before making a decision. I am greatful to Dr. Lumpkin because he put me on Hydroxicloriquine for sarcoidosis on my face when all other doctors dismissed my concerns. After being on medication my face cleared up within 2 weeks.

Dr Lumpkin was kind, motivating, compassionate and reassuring. He has an awesome approach that is intentional, thoughtful and has instilled hope at a time when I had very little. I'm grateful for his persistence and belief that things can get better. For people with Sarcoidosis, his holistic person approach (nutrition, positive thinking, motivation, medications) makes all the difference. Thank you, Dr Lumpkin for believing in me until I could believe in myself!

I was escorted by staff to each of my appointments as I did not know my way around Marymount. They actually took me to the correct office for each test. When looking for the exit a staff person came up to me to see if I needed any help. I did need help finding the exit. Everyone could not have been nicer! And of course Dr. Lumpkin went above and beyond expectations. (As always!) As a doctor he is the best of the best!! Very well informed, up to date, and smart! And very personable as well. Wish I lived closer.
