As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

This was my first visit with Dr. Armsted. Lately I've been feeling very much like a "number" at the Cleveland Clinic. Doctors seem very busy, rushed, and don't seem to have time to actually sit down and talk to me as a person or seem interested in seeing me and hearing my concerns. Being a fairly healthy woman in my mid 30s, being brushed off as healthy because you look healthy, seems more common than not. I was pleasantly surprised to sit down with Dr. Armsted and feel like she wanted to know how my health was and she actually listened and provided input and support. I will definitely stay with her as a patient.

I am 33 years old and I have NEVER been to a doctor that I felt was more well rounded than Dr. Amstadt. This was my first visit with her, and I was blown away! Firstly, she was extremely professionally and creates an environment that makes the patient feel as they are the most important patient she has ever had. She covered all of my medical history big and small and included my spouse and me heavily in these discussions. She was extraordinarily thorough in our appointment. It felt like I finally met a doctor who cared enough to go the extra mile for me. I messaged her on mychart and she responded quickly--which felt like a bonus after such a positive experience with het already. Not only would I recommend Dr. Amstadt to friends and family-- I already have.
