Dr. Sterman completed his undergraduate degrees at Miami University, Oxford Ohio, before obtaining his MD at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He did his Otolaryngology residency at the Cleveland Clinic as well as a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in St. Louis Missouri. Prior to moving to Akron, Dr. Sterman was on the faculty at Indiana University Medical School and then the Medical College of Wisconsin.

He is a fellow of the American Board of Otolaryngology, American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He has several publications on various topics in Otolaryngology.

Dr. Sterman and his staff are wonderful! I am so blessed to have him as my ENT and he and his staff go above and beyond to ensure I am as comfortable as possible every time I get the snake down my nose and into my throat. Thank God for Dr. Sterman and his amazing staff!

Dr. Sterman and his entire staff are beyond amazing! I would recommend them to the whole world if I could! Previously I had Dr. Bringham and the staff was cold, callous, and unkind. Thank God my oncologist recommended Dr. Sterman!

Dr Sternman is so good as a professional. Went out of his way to cause any extra pain. Uses the smallest grade needles for my injections. He definitely knows what to do. So grateful for him.
