Industry Relationships
Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.
To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.
As of 2/12/2024, Dr. Miller has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Public Health Service-Reportable Financial Conflicts of Interest. Cleveland Clinic scientists and physicians engage in basic, translational and clinical research activities, working to solve health problems, enhance patient care and improve quality of life for patients. Interactions with industry are essential to bringing the researchers' discoveries to the public, but can present the potential for conflicts of interest related to their research activities. Click here to view a listing of instances where Cleveland Clinic has identified a Public Health Service (PHS)-Reportable Financial Conflict of Interest and has put measures in place to ensure that, to the extent possible, the design, conduct and reporting of the research is free from bias.

This is one of the easiest appts. Each year. Dr. Miller is amazing and the staff has improved over the years. I was frustrated that I did the paperwork online and then had to do it again in office. I know that is out of their control, so Cleve. Clinic needs to streamline it or stop asking us to do it online also.

I've referred dozens of people to Dr. Miller. He never disappoints! We are blessed to have him

The older I get, the more difficult it is to go out to see the doctor. For appointments that are based on lab work results, it is a relief to have a video visit.

Not very personable. Will give the physician a chance. Kept saying they "don't give me many diabetic patients anymore."

I absolutely LOVE Dr Miller. However your hospital prices are too high, and unfortunately my husband stopped going to Dr Miller, and I will have to stop to. I have also known many other people that have stopped seeing Dr Miller due to office visit pricing. We should not have to pay more due to his office being attached to an "off site hospital" its really just not right!

Dr. Miller is so good, I still stay with Cleveland Clinic even though every visit requires multiple calls to Cleveland Clinic billing to walk them through how to do their job, it's mind numbingly frustrating.

Honestly, I felt a bit dismissed during my visit. I got the impression that if the tests that were ordered didn't show anything of concern that I shouldn't bother coming back... Which is really disheartening considering I am trying to figure out what is wrong and I have been to several specialists who claim that my symptoms are just part of who I am.
