Industry Relationships

Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists may collaborate with the pharmaceutical or medical device industries to help develop medical breakthroughs or provide medical expertise or education. Cleveland Clinic strives to make scientific advances that will benefit patient care and support outside relationships that promise public benefit. In order for the discoveries of Cleveland Clinic physicians' and scientists' laboratories and investigations to benefit the public, these discoveries must be commercialized in partnership with industry. As experts in their fields, Cleveland Clinic physicians and scientists are often sought after by industry to consult, provide expertise and education.

To assure professional and commercial integrity in such matters, Cleveland Clinic maintains a program that reviews these collaborations and, when appropriate, puts measures in place to minimize bias that may result from ties to industry. Cleveland Clinic publicly discloses the names of companies when (i) its physicians/scientists receive $5,000 or more per year (or, in rare cases, equity or stock options) for speaking and consulting, (ii) its physicians/scientists serve as a fiduciary, (iii) its physicians/scientists receive or have the right to receive royalties or (iv) its physicians/ scientists hold any equity interest for the physician's/scientist's role as inventor, discoverer, developer, founder or consultant.* In publicly disclosing this information, Cleveland Clinic tries to provide information as accurately as possible about its physicians' and scientists' connections with industry.

As of 6/23/2020, Dr. Myers has reported no financial relationship with industry that is applicable to this listing. In general, patients should feel free to contact their doctor about any of the relationships and how the relationships are overseen by Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Myers was very thorough and asked a lot of questions about my health history. She was extremely professional and genuinely concerned about my health and ordered necessary blood work and an X-ray due to the pain I have been experiencing in my neck. I am extremely happy with the care and service I received from Dr. Myers and her assistant Michelle.

She's a very busy doctor. It's often difficult to get an appointment in a timely manner.

Reviewed on Sep 3, 2020

Dr. Myers is the first doctor I have seen to actually explain to me, in detail, how my prescriptions work, what they are needed for, why I need to take them as prescribed, give viable options for care, listen to concerns about how the medications effect me, offer solutions, and treat me like something other than a test subject/lab rat for newest drug! I have asked questions for 25 years that she managed to answer in 2 visits. I have been nothing short of amazed with her and she has changed the way I view medical care in general.

I have a concern with my left breast and she even called me while she was driving to see how I was progressing. I'm very glad that I switched to her as she has demonstrated genuine care for her patients... which includes my Mother. Do everything you can to keep her!
